Internal Review
A commitee has been formed to internally review all the beam time requests at HIGS. The review committee consits of six members representing Duke, UNC and NC-State universities. The present members are :

The starting point of scheduling an experiment at HIGS is to fill out the beam time request form (download the form from this page) and forward it to H. R. Weller. Upon receipt of the form, a more detailed proposal may be requested by the review committee.
External Review
In addition to this internal review, the TUNL Director is having all beam time requests reviewed by a three-person outside committee. The results of this review will be combined with the recommendations of the Internal Review Committee when beam time is scheduled. This year's (2004) external review committee consists of Gerald Garvey, Barry Holstein and Michael Wiescher.
Technical Review and Scheduling
The recommendations of the Internal and External Review Committees will be forwarded to the HIGS Scheduling Committee (Tornow, Edwards, Wu, Weller). Beam time will be scheduled on the basis of these recommendations as well as a technical review to determine the likelihood of success.
